10 Things That Make Me Happy Tag!

Hi everyone! I was tagged by the beautiful Saadeh at BeautySpot to do this tag! The rules are to "post 10 things that make you happy, try to do at least one of them today, link back to the person who awarded you and pass along for up to ten people." So here we go!

1. Nail Polish (duh)! Nail polish is my creative outlet, all I do for school is science and math and I like to let my creativity thrive!

2. My boyfriend! He cheers me up when I am down and is my best friend. I love him so much, he is the sweetest guy I know!

3. Blogging! You all make me so happy, you read and comment and enjoy what I have to say, and I have made so many friends through blogging; it has truly changed my life.

4. Nuclear Engineering! A weird one I know. I am just so excited about what I am doing in this program. My school is only starting up the program again and I am so busy with it, but very excited. I am presenting my  research project at a workshop next week, a symposium in April, and a 4 day national student conference the day after the symposium. Yay!

5. My family! I come from a very tight-knit family, and it is so hard to be away from them for such long periods of time. I can't wait to go and see them in a few weeks!

6. Food! I LOVE to eat! But I am a very picky eater lol!

7. Cleaning! I kive like a complete and utter pig most of the time, because I am really lazy. But if I am stressed out, I just clean my dorm room and I feel much better!

8. NPR! I am an NPR addict, I wake up to it in the morning and listen to it all day inbetween classes. My favorite programs are Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me!, Talk of the Nation, and Morning Edition.

9. Dying my Hair! I really enjoy dying my hair red. I don't know what it is about red hair for me, but it just fits my personality and I love it!

10. Piercings! If I didn't have to work a conservative job in the future, I would have a lot more piercings. I only have three lobe piercings and a navel, but I love them. I am getting an industrial bar on my ear for my birthday!

Hi everyone! I am SO sorry that I have not been good about keeping up on tags. At all. I am sure that a bajillion of you lovelys have tagged me several times over, and there is no way that I can go back to everyone's tags and see who tagged me for what. For those of you who have tagged me, thank you so much, I really appreciate that you want to get to know me better and think of me so fondly and I again apologize for not keeping up with you all! I won't tag anyone in these, but if there is a tag here that you haven't done, please consider yourself tagged!

Best Blogger Award Tag - The whole point of this tag is just to pass it on, but since I am not doing that I will share 3 fun facts about myself!
1) I love my iPod but I really don't listen to music much. I only have a pawdry 398 songs in my iTunes. I am much more of a podcast girl (mostly NPR lol)
2) I am not a morning person. At all. I was even born at 5am asleep!
3) I am addicted to ketchup. I will suck it down out of the bottle, I love the stuff!

Fridge Tag - Now this tag was sadly short-lived and I don't think that I was even tagged for this, but I am totally going to do it anyway! Why? Because it is college dorm room fabulous! And I take my pictures on top of it to show you hauls and product photos.

Now I don't actually have anything terribly interesting on the front because it is tiny and I need it to hold my paper towels. I also only bought it 2 months ago so I haven't had the time to accumulate cute things to put on it yet!

Haute Mess Tag!

Hi everyone! I was tagged by Stephanie at Lovely Disarray for the Haute Mess Tag, thank you so much Stephanie! The rules are simple, state 7 interesting things about yourself and tag 7 people to do it!

1) I officially can no longer smell nail polish or acetone. The first thing people say when they come to my dorm room is "Wow, did you spill a bottle of nail polish remover?" I don't smell anything lol!

2) I have a plastic cap on my front tooth after an incident involving my little brother shoving me into a tile wall years ago.

3) I have my naval pierced, and I really want to get an industrial bar too. And gauge my first lobe piercings. If I didn't plan to work a conservative white collar job when I get out of college, I would have spiderbites and a nose ring as well. I <3 body mod!

4) My second ear lobe piercing (one year old) is currently infected (don't read on if you are sqeamish, just go to number 5!) My ear started to hurt a couple of days ago, and that happens sometimes if I don't change out my earrings enough (I have an allergy to a metal in cheaper earrings that is not nickel). So I changed out the rings, and that ear started hurting again this morning. So I took out the second piercing to find it a little scabbed up, again not terribly unusual. Then it started gushing blood and was super hard and painful to put back in. I used hydrogen peroxide to help prevent infection, put my piercing quality jewelry in, and have been doing salt soaks to help it heal. :(

5) I have a wall art structure of a seritonin molecule in my room to motivate me to be happy. I am such a nerd lol.

6) I hate stress yet I thrive on it.

7) I tried to be born butt first, because I'm cool like that :P

Happy 101 Meme Tag!

Hi everyone, sorry it took me so long to do this tag, I am usually way better about doing them quickly. I was tagged by Cucumpear, Babbling Brooke, and Ainos2 from Glammed-Up, thank you ladies!!! If you tagged me too and I missed it, let me know and I will add you to the list! The rules of this tag are to share 10 things that make you happy!

1) Nail polish makes me very happy! (duh)

2) My family makes me happy, I am very close with my family. It is hard to live as an out of state student because I get very homesick, especially right after I leave home.

3) I am always happy when I wear a dress. I wear dresses whenever I can, usually when it is warm enough outside to do so because I get cold so easily!

4) I love NPR! It is the only radio station that I listen to anymore.

5) I love the BBC! I wish that we got more than BBC America here because while I was in the UK I was super addicted to BBC 2 lol.

6) My boyfriend makes me so happy, he is far more than I deserve!!

7) Makeup makes me happy! Doing my makeup is one of my favorite hobbies, but I have class at 7:30am every weekday so I don't do much beyond foundation and mascara everyday because I am so tired when I wake up.

8) Audrey Hepburn makes me happy! I love her movies!

9) The color green, it is my favorite color!

10) You all make me happy! The reason I blog is to help people and make people happy, and I am so glad that I can do that through my blogs!

Hi again everyone! Stephanie from Short 'n Chic and Anna from The Nail Nerd nominated me for this award/tag, thank you so much! The tag is to share 7 random things about yourself; here it goes!

1) I am a huge fan of British comedies. Like; I am an all out junkie, and so is my family!

2) I didn't learn how to swim until I was 14. I never lived near a pool until then.

3) I am terrible at riding bikes. I always manage to run into something or fall off a bridge.

4) People never know what to get me for presents. This Christmas I recieved things that range from an iHome to a pashmina shawl.

5) I don't watch a lot of tv or movies, just Brit coms.

6) I used to be very into ceramics. I did it for about a year and a half in high school, and there is a whole china cabinet in my house filled with my mediocre works.

7) My favorite sweet at the moment is my Peppermint Pig. Mmmmm.....

Hi everyone, sorry it took me so long to do this tag. It was actually very hard for me to come up with 5 guys, because I have never been one to watch tv or movies or anything. 15 Blogs I Read Frequently Tag!

Hi everyone! The amazingly talented Jen from A Beauty and Fashion Blog (you may know her from Specktra as L1LMAMAJ) tagged me for this award; thank you Jen! She is a MAC artist and does some really amazing but wearable looks; go check her out! She also has a giveaway going (covertly pimps her giveaway here)....

Alright, the rules of the tag are simple; accept the award and tag 15 awesome blogs that you love to read! I read about 150 blogs so choosing was hard. In reality I love all of the blogs that I read! In no particular order...

You've Got Nail - Jacie is a blogger from Australia who is so funny and creative! She swatches a lot of brands that I don't see from other bloggers and she has a great weekly segment called the Naily News!

Polished Lyrics - Jessica does great swatches and includes song references too! You don't know how many songs she has gotten stuck in my head after reading her blog!

Painted Lady Fingers - If you want whimsy, she's got it! Not only are her nails stunningly long and beautiful, but she takes gorgeous outdoor shots of her nails with all sorts of flowers and darling little creatures!

Black Nail Polish and Lipgloss - Evil Angel is the go-to source for all nail polish and makeup that is a little on the darker side. Her blog is so unique and I love who she is and what she does!

Cucumpear's Pandemonium of Cosmetics - Although relatively new to the nail polish blogging block; she does really cool nail art that inspires me so much!

Emerald Sparkled - Trincess does nails and she does them well! She mostly does Konad but she always gets such sharp, perfect images, I am secretly jealous! Love her blog!

Juicy-Nails! - A French based blog, but she translates it into English too! I try to read it in French, but I am so rusty that I end up cheating and going to the English section. She does beautiful swatches of a wide variety of colors and brands!

Lambchop Mobile - She does gorgeous swatches and nail art manis. My favorites are her Duck Day manis! It makes me want to do manis inspired by my university, but then you would all know where I live (shifty eyes...).

Magic Maid - Nicole has a fantastic blog, where do I even begin? Great swatches, great nail art, and great extra goodies! Plus she is a super sweet lady!

20 Color Drops - Inbal is one of the sweetest bloggers I know! She also does stunning swatches and comes up with some amazing layering combinations!

FAB UR NAILS - Thriszha does some really amazing nail art! Lately she has been doing some of the best water marbling that I have ever seen, she makes me want to try it now!

Nail'd and Polish'd - Cindy does great swatches and her nails look so good! Short and chic! Love it!

The Hungry Asian - Kae has some stunning nails! Her nails are what I aspire my nails to be. She is the reason that I *attempt* to shape my nails square. She could swatch dog poop and I would still be impressed with the swatch!

Polishign the Nails! - She has really wonderful posts and swatches, I love reading her random posts about cool things that she has found and such!

Concrete and Nail Polish - April and Ashley show us great colors and swatches, plus they love to advertise great sales and giveaways!

Kreativ Blogger Award!

Heya everyone! The wonderful Leanne from Do Not Refreeze tagged me for this award; Leanne you are so sweet, thank you! Here are the rules: To list 7 things about yourself and tag 7 people; so here we go!

1. Very few of my friends know about this blog, and none of my family does. I really only share this part of myself with all of you and my three closest friends, including my wonderful boyfriend.

2. I get very pissed off when people make fun of my weight; or more specifically lack thereof. I am 5'7" and I go between 95-100 lbs. People I don't even know come up to me and ask me if I have an eating disorder; and I really want to punch them. I do not have an eating disorder, my high metabolism is genetic and my weight is actually healthy for my build. Making fun of someone who is skinny is the same as making fun of someone who is fat, you tell them that they are unhealthy and not normal. Everyone deserves to feel good about themselves.

3. Otters are my favorite animals.

4. I plan on getting a belly-button piercing on the 9th; I am so excited!!! I am going to the studio with my friend, who is getting 2 dermal anchors in the stars of her side tattoo.

5. I do not have a tattoo because I HATE needles, but I really want one. I only deal with needles for shots, and I do get a flu shot every year.

6. Even though I am super pasty white, it is impossible for me to blush. My face can turn red when I laugh and such; but I simply don't get embarassed! I am a very open book and I am open to discuss anything. I am not sure yet if that is a good or a bad thing.

7. My first experience with makeup was stealing my mother's unused MAC Studio Fix Powder and using it. Heck, she never did! I used to have severe cystic acne, so covering it up made me feel a lot better about myself.

7 Choices Tag - Blue!

The inspirational Asami from Nails by Asami tagged me for blue! She originally tagged me as green but I already did green, and she was nice enough to pick a different color for me to do! I love this tag!

1. My computer - I have a Gateway T-Series in blue, this is the computer that I blog on and such!

2. Escada Moon Sparkle - my favorite perfume! It smells like strawberries but it isn't little girly. I got it almost half-off at Nordstrom Rack.

3. China Glaze For Audrey - my favorite blue polish for many reasons!

4. Massager - my back massager that my boyfriend got me. It is from Bath and Body Works.

5. Cactus - As you may remember from the green tag that I did, I had a baby cactus in a green jar. Well this one is in a blue jar, I got it from my mother!

"You Make Me Smile Award!"

Hello everyone! I have been tagged by the awesome Mighty Lambchop from Lambchop Mobile. Her blog really makes me smile, she has the cutest game-day manis and is such a great internet friend to me!

Now first is the song that makes me smile, and although a lot of songs make me smile, I just love this one. Yes, you are all going to think that I am weird, but I am super immersed in the Irish/Scottish American culture. My dad even plays the bagpipes, and well to boot. He won 2 medals in his first competition, a gold and a silver! Now this band doesn't have music videos; they go around to different festivals so here is a video from one of their live performances. So here is my favorite bagpiping band, the Wicked Tinkers playing Wallop the Cat, thank you to Liz whotold me how to embed the video! :)

10th Picture Tag!

I was tagged by the wonderful Pam from Nail-E-Glance to do this. I was never tagged when it was popular but this is an older tag, and frankly I am not going back through posts to see who was and wasn't tagged, so if you haven't done this tag yet; please do and post the link in my comments so that I can come see it! The rulez:

Isn't he cute!?! This is a baby raccoon that my mother rescued a few years ago from under my uncle's porch. Something happened to his mom and she never came back; he was the only survivor out of his siblings. They found him when the poor thing fell into the pool! Well of course it was Friday afternoon so we couldn't call animal control; so we took care of him for a couple of days until we could give him to a lady who was approved to rehabilitate racoons. He was so precious and fun; boy did he love cat formula!

Of course he was a wild animal and I do not recommend taking care of a wild animal without really knowing what you are doing. We never pet him (thus the gloves used to hold him) and never came into skin to skin contact; especially since we had other animals. You don't know where wild animals have been and you don't know what they could be carrying!

7 Choices Tag - Hot Pink!

Tiffany from Polish Me Pretty... has tagged me for the 7 Choices Tag, and the color she picked was Hot Pink! I actually don't own very many hot pink things, but here is what I found!

 1. Hot Pink Patent Leather Heels - I got these at Macy's on super clearance (same sale as the shoes from my green post) for about $25. They were priced at about $120! This is actually my favorite pair of shoes.

2. Binder - This is a binder that I use for school; it holds my notes and homework for "Statics and Strengths" and Thermodynamics I. I study engineering.

3. Crystal Light Strawberry Orange Banana - Mmmm, my favorite! It is so yummy! I can only buy it in my home state; for some reason they don't sell it where I live at school.

4. OPI Fuchsia Fling - My best hot pink/fuchsia nail polish!

5. MAC Sushi Flower Eyeshadow - my only actual pink eyeshadow!

6. Konad Scraper - This is a recent aquisition of mine, I have only just started using the Konad system and I like it so far!

7. BedHead After Party - One of the best hair products that I own! I love it! It makes my hair much easier to straighten.

7 Choices Tag - Green!

Hey everyone! I was tagged by the lovely Iceomatic to do the 7 Choices tag in GREEN! Despite green being my favorite color, I don't have a lot of green things around my dorm room lol.

1. Plate - This is one of the plates in my dishware set; I bought it at a garage sale. The whole set (2 big plates, 2 little plates, and 2 bowls that all match) for $3!.

2. Humid e/s - One of my favorite eyeshadows (it's located right below the plate)

3. Makeup Rag - That cloth in the back is my makeup rag, I use it to clean my brushes and makeup.

4. OPI Green-wich Villlage - One of my favorite bright polishes, it is a perfect green!

5. Cactus - The strange jar thing is actually a baby cactus that I am raising; it is one of my mom's seedlings. I have two other ones but that was the one in the green jar. I know that the little guy is hard to see!

6. Heels - These are my highest pair of heels! I love these, I go them on mega-clearance for about $30 at Macys!

7. I am dumb and my waterbottle magically didn't make it into the picture. I think that I accidently cut it out when I edited on my camera. Oops. Well, it is a big plastic water bottle, and it is light green! :)
